Quaid e Azam's statement told that he is from the Lohana Rajputs living in Multan.
In a book about castes and tribes of Punjab, Lohana has been defined as under:
A tribe of Jats, descended from an eponym of Punwar Rajput origin belonging to Vikrama Jeet family, and found in Sialkot. The Lohan or Lahana also found in Hissar.
